Combined with the mountain scenery, rich cultural heritage and white-sand beaches, rafting in nepal has become extremely popular in recent years. however you don�t have to be an experienced "boat hand" to enjoy rafting in the kingdom - rivers vary from class 1 (easy-moving water) to class 6 (virtually unrunnable), so there is something for everyone. and, modern rafts, experienced staff and well maintained equipment mean that even complete beginners can safely enjoy most of Nepal�s rivers as they fall into the grade 1-4 category.

When selecting a river, aside from the money and time aspect, its important to consider safety as a top priority. A one day float on a gentle river may not appear as dangerous as a 10 day journey down one of the more isolated and wild rivers. But safety must be top priority at all times . Rafting season is September to December and March to June and trips vary in length from 1 to 12 days.
